I used to think that the iPod was separating the video and audio content, but it isn't. It tries to filter some of the podcasts, but it doesn't do a good job. So, I changed the formula for my codcast playlists to separate video from non-video. Add Kind contains Video for video podcasts and Kind does not contain video for audio codcasts.
Now I can sit back and watch my podcasts!
